To provide SoulChat services, we collect the following types of information:

• Account information you provide, such as email address, display name, and avatar.
• Conversation content you exchange with AI characters, including messages, images, and metadata.
• Content you create, such as custom characters, community posts, and comments.
• Device and usage data, such as device model, OS version, app crash logs, and feature usage.

We use your information for the following purposes:

• Generate AI responses and operate core chat features.
• Personalize characters and maintain your long-term memory within conversations.
• Operate community features such as posts, comments, and follows.
• Process subscriptions, verify purchases, and grant VIP benefits.
• Ensure security, prevent abuse, and improve our services.

Your conversation content is processed by large language models to generate character replies. To improve response quality, we may use anonymized conversation data for model evaluation and service improvement. We do not use your conversations to train publicly available models without your consent.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited data only in the following cases:

• With trusted service providers that help us operate the app (e.g. cloud hosting, payment processing).
• When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
• With your explicit consent for a specific purpose.

We protect your personal information using industry-standard safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest using strong encryption. Access to personal data is limited to the systems and personnel required to operate SoulChat. We monitor for vulnerabilities and apply security updates promptly to protect the confidentiality of your data.

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the service.

Free accounts: conversation memory is retained for a limited recent window. Older context may be trimmed to manage storage.

VIP accounts: enjoy extended memory retention so characters remember more of your shared history.

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. The web version may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

SoulChat is intended for users aged 18 and older. The service includes AI companion interactions that are not directed to and not suitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page, or contact us to exercise your rights. Deleting your account permanently removes your messages, posts, and associated data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Questions? Email [email protected].

SoulChat offers an optional auto-renewable VIP subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. The subscription unlocks unlimited chat, a VIP badge, priority access to premium models, and an ad-free experience.

Price & duration: $9.99 per month, billed through your Apple ID.

Auto-renewal: the subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Manage or cancel: open iPhone Settings, choose your name, then Subscriptions, select SoulChat VIP, and turn off auto-renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Restore purchases: use the Restore Purchases button in the app to sync your active subscription across devices.

Refunds: all billing is handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple Support (reportaproblem.apple.com); we cannot issue refunds directly.

Terms: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation, and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases.

You can sign in to SoulChat with your Google account. When you choose Google sign-in, Google provides us with your basic profile information (such as your Google email address and display name) solely to create and authenticate your SoulChat account.

We never receive or store your Google password. We store your Google email address and display name solely to identify your SoulChat account, and we do not sell or share your Google account data with any third parties. We do not use Google sign-in data for any purpose other than authentication and account creation. You may disconnect Google sign-in at any time from your Profile page.

Use of Google sign-in is also subject to the Google APIs Terms of Service.
