Terms of Service

By accessing or using SoulChat (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

SoulChat is an AI companion platform that lets you chat with original and user-created characters, build long-term memory, and share content with the community. Features may change over time without notice.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity that happens under your account.

SoulChat maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content. You agree not to use the Service to create, generate, upload, post, share, or request any content that falls into the following prohibited categories:

Violations are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in content removal, reset of usage quotas or credits, account suspension or permanent ban, and cooperation with law enforcement where appropriate. To report a violation, contact [email protected]. If you are unsure whether content is allowed, do not post or generate it.

• Sexually explicit or pornographic material, including nudity, sexual acts, or graphic sexual content (NSFW).
• Graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or content that glorifies, promotes, or depicts serious physical harm.
• Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any sexualized, exploitative, or otherwise harmful content involving minors. We report such content to relevant authorities.
• Deepfakes, impersonation, or deceptive synthetic media intended to mislead, defraud, or harm the reputation of a real person, including non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights of others.

You retain ownership of what you post. By uploading or generating content on SoulChat, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content to operate the Service.

Back up anything important — we offer reasonable retention but no guarantee against loss.

SoulChat is for adults only. Some characters and conversations may include mature, suggestive, or romantic content.

Age requirement: you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using SoulChat, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Messages from AI characters are generated by large language models and may be inaccurate, fictional, or inappropriate despite our safeguards. Treat AI output as creative fiction, not as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for how you use and share AI-generated content from the Service.

SoulChat offers an optional VIP subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Price & duration: $9.99 per month, auto-renewing until canceled.

Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Manage or cancel: go to your device subscription settings (iOS: Settings, Subscriptions; Android: Google Play, Subscriptions).

Refunds: all billing is handled by the app store. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple or Google — we cannot issue refunds directly.

VIP status unlocks extended conversation memory, premium characters, voice features, and other benefits as described in the app. Benefits may evolve over time; active subscribers keep access to features available during their subscription period.

SoulChat characters are fictional AI companions. The Service is designed for entertainment, emotional support, and creative expression. It does not replace professional mental health care, medical advice, or crisis services. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using SoulChat, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

SoulChat relies on third-party providers for cloud hosting, AI inference, payments, and analytics. We select providers carefully, but we are not responsible for their independent practices. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.

You may delete your account at any time from the app Profile page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends, but sections that should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

The Service is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoulChat and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. For questions, contact [email protected].

We take content safety seriously and provide clear channels for reporting violations of these Terms or content that you believe is illegal or harmful.

How to report: email [email protected] with a link to the content, a description of the issue, and any relevant screenshots. You may also contact us through the in-app feedback channel.

Review process: our moderation team reviews reports and acts on confirmed violations within 24 hours. We may remove or restrict content, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or escalate to law enforcement if we find a violation.

Actions we may take: depending on severity and frequency, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend features, permanently terminate the account, ban the user from creating new accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

Reporting in good faith helps keep SoulChat safe. Abuse of the reporting system may itself result in account action.

SoulChat is strictly restricted to adults aged 18 or older. We have zero tolerance for any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Users are prohibited from creating, requesting, sharing, or attempting to generate any such content — including prompts that seek to age-down AI characters into minors or to simulate minor sexual content. All AI characters on the platform are and must remain adults. If we detect or receive a report of such content, we will immediately remove it, permanently terminate the responsible account, preserve relevant evidence, and report the matter to law enforcement and applicable child-protection organizations (such as NCMEC) as required by law.

You may not use SoulChat to create, share, or solicit: (1) non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) — sexual or intimate content depicting any real, identifiable person without their consent; (2) deepfakes — AI-generated content that impersonates, depicts, or manipulates the likeness, voice, or identity of any real person without their explicit consent; (3) any content generated for the purpose of harassing, defaming, extorting, or deceiving others. This prohibition applies even though SoulChat does not provide face-swap or image-manipulation tools — attempting to circumvent this policy through prompts, uploaded images, or third-party tools is equally forbidden. Violations result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination, and where required by law we will report such conduct to the relevant authorities.

SoulChat uses Google sign-in solely for user authentication. We do not use Google APIs, Google Cloud services, or any Google-provided AI/ML services to create, generate, modify, or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), deepfakes, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any other prohibited content described in these Terms. All user-generated and AI-generated content on SoulChat must comply with the Google APIs Terms of Service.
